Contemporary design and lots of windows take full advantage of this lovely setting. This Black Butte Ranch jewel is in a serene area of Glaze Meadow with views of Black Butte, Glaze Meadow and Heron Lake. Friends and family will love the open, spacious floor plan with the light and bright sunken living area and large fireplace in this spacious 2,001 sq. ft. home.
A king bedroom shares a bathroom with a jetted tub. There's a queen bedroom downstairs. There's 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds and a 2nd bedroom with a twin and a queen upstairs. These are ideal for the kids, with a shared bathroom in the hallway. A loft upstairs provides a great area for the kids to view movies. This home comfortably sleeps 8.
A large dining table in the dining room, plus an eating bar, and a large outdoor table and chairs for outdoor gatherings, suits all kinds of dining options. A large gas barbecue is available for cookouts.
A sunken living room with wrap-around seating in front of the large wood burning fireplace makes for cozy conversations after a long day of fun. It provides an intimate area for movie viewing on the wide screen TV. Wireless broadband internet is available to keep in touch with family and friends or get some work done.
You and the kids will love the flat, scenic bike ride or walk to the Glaze Meadow pool and recreation area just minutes away. Peace and tranquility will await you after a busy day on this quiet cul-de-sac among the pines.
Portable AC's available to rent while supplies are available. (Please advise this home is NOT dog friendly)
INTERNET & TV | All of our homes provide Wi-Fi Internet and Cable or Streaming services. You will be provided with the Wi-Fi Network and Password upon arrival.
PARKING | All guests must park their vehicles in the driveway or designated lot.
BICYCLES | We do not guarantee the use of bicycles with the rental of our homes, but you can explore the 23.4 miles of bike paths by renting a bicycle at the Glaze Meadow Recreational Center's Bike Shop.
LENGTH OF STAY | Our properties require a minimum stay of 3-nights in the slower season and 6-nights in the peak season. If you wish to check availability outside of those perimeters, or are having difficulty booking on-line, please contact us.
VRBO | If you book with VRBO, your Reservation is confirmed with VRBO and transferred to Black Butte Realty Group. All VRBO bookings are subject to VRBO fees in addition to our set fees.
SECURITY DEPOSIT | A security deposit is needed for each reservation. If there is not any damage determined at our closing inspection, 100% of your Security Deposit will be returned within 10 - 14 business days of your departure.
BBR RESORT ACCESS | All guest vehicles must be registered at the Black Butte Ranch Welcome Center upon arrival. Your Access Fee to all the Black Butte Ranch amenities will be included in your Reservation charges and is based on a percentage of your nightly Rental rate. This fee allows all parties in your group to access all Black Butte Ranch amenities. You no longer need to pay a daily access fee for each member in your party.
CANCELLATION POLICY | Cancellation Requests received in writing at least 30 days prior to your arrival date will be refunded 100%. Requests received less than 30 days before the arrival date are not eligible for a refund. If you need to cancel at the last minute, you will have the choice to transfer your payments to an alternate booking in the same house during the same calendar year. If you made your reservation with a third-party booking agent, you may have a separate Cancellation policy with that agent.
PROPERTY ADDRESS | KEY ACCESS | Four days prior to your arrival date you will receive the property's physical address and the code to retrieve the door key from the lock box.

We had a great time at GM 188. We have stayed here before and love the location. My parents originally built this home, so it is like coming home for us, but I have to say that the place could use some TLC. While we enjoyed seeing all of old chairs, dishes and decor, it is starting to show wear. The location and view cannot be beat, however. It is on one of the best lots in the Ranch.

Really enjoyed our stay and have to say that the layout of the house was perfect for 3 kids and three adults. View of Black Butte was fantastic, and it is always nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle- it was such a nice quiet location.

This home is very basic but has all that you need. it is in a beautiful setting on Glaze Meadow and is exceptionally quiet. While some of the furniture and fixtures are dated, the beds are comfortable and the wi-fi was perfect for work from home.

We originally rented a smaller 2 bedroom cabin that slept 6. It was very disappointing, there was no room to get comfortable. We upgraded ourselves to the unit GM-188, it gave us the space to stretch and was clean.

Nice big kitchen. Fireplace was nice but couldn't feel it in sunken living room. Older nice house that needs updating especially the bathrooms. Needs some deep cleaning. All in all we enjoyed it, the location, the quiet, bike trails, pool, close to snow at Hoodoo. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Glaze Meadow 188. My parents were one of the original owners that built this house back in the 1970's. Our family spent many a summer on the bike paths and winters skiing in the mountains. We had last visited the house 30 years ago and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the house and Black Butte. I stumbled upon the listing one day and was ecstatic to find it was for rent.
The house and property was just as we remembered it. Although some reviewers were put off by the decor and dated appearance, we found it perfect as it was like coming home again. The condo was clean and well stocked and location cannot be beat. It is quiet and tucked away in the back of the ranch, away from the crowds. The Ranch has been well maintained with good bike paths and updated pools. We will be back again. Thank you.

We love this location, views of the meadow, lakes and Black Butte are wonderful. The home however is in need of some repairs and updating. The downstairs shower needs to be replaced as well as the old microwave. We have stayed in BB properties numerous times over the years and this time the house was not as clean as it could have been.

This is the fourth time we have rented GM 188 and our overall experience has been wonderful each time. We Love the location as it is quiet, away from the activities at glaze pool, but also an easy bike ride there.the kids love the sunken living room and having a premier view of Black Butte is spectacular. Unfortunately the house continues to show greater wear and tear, especially the old kitchen. This time the dishwasher Was not secured in its position and clunks About when pulling out the drawers and the door is badly in need of some oil.
I enjoy working with Jody and sharon and the staff at Howells as they are always super helpful and knowledgeable.
I would only recommend this property to a friend with the above disclaimers and if I were satisfied that there are no other more updated properties available at a similar cost.
Whether we continue to rent GM 188 or another property, BBR is a magical place and we will return.

This house has a wonderful location. Near the end of black butte and backing on a meadow with a view of the butte. However, it looks like nothing has been updated in the house since it was built. Old furniture, dreary cabinets, broken floor tiles, spider webs inside, mismatched silverware and plates with next to no knives and full sized forks. Ran out of bath soap. Staff got it as clean as they could. The unit has possibilities but needs a remodel.

The location cannot be beat - meadow, view of Black Butte, isolation of house. The house was clean, especially the rugs. The space in the house was great. The house does need some major renovations like the kitchen floor. House felt like it was from the 1970s. Being I am in my 70s, I felt right at home. Howell's responded quickly to a problem with the toilet.

This is a lovely home with great separation of space. The view of a meadow and pond with Black Butte in the background is lovely. Short walk to a gravel road for long off-leash dog walks (and a shortcut to Sisters.)
This home is very spacious with a huge "sunk in" conversation area in the living room, a beautiful deck with a view and an air conditioning unit in the living room. Great for a large group of people.
