It was wonderful. The house was perfect for our group and despite the smoke in the air we had a great time.

Beautiful views and location but this house needs updating. Furniture is way old. Not sure about the sleeping capacity listed versus actual--blow up mattress counts? Sauna downstairs. Be careful of the range hood and your head! Lots of deck space/furniture. Wi-Fi worked great.

Awesome view of Three Fingered Jack.
A/C was out of order first 2 days of 4 week stay.
House is tired needs updating including furniture.Very difficult to clean . Three bedroom house, two bedrooms for adults one for children. Lots of steps.

Overall a great stay at this house for our week long vacation at Black Butte ranch. Loved the house which had an amazing view of hole #14 and Three Fingered Jack. House was very clean and comfortable for our group. Only suggested improvements would be to replace mattresses and bath towels. Both have seen better days.

This is the third time we've rented this home and have been extremely happy on each occasion. Master bath recently remodeled which is a huge improvement. I can think of very few other homes in BBR that have the serenity and view that this home provides.

I have one complaint. I am 6 feet tall and banged my head on the kitchen hood twice. Looks like someone put some rubber bumpers up once, but they have mostly fallen off. You need to fix before someone hurts themselves seriously.

Also refrigerator freezes food even when turned all the way down.

We have stayed here before and did again for basic reasons. It is close to the Paulina pool (walking distance) and the view of the course and mountains.

IMPORTANT/BEWARE
Please be aware that there is an ongoing construction site adjacent to the home. Some days they start before 8 am. If you plan to sit outside for breakfast, lunch or just to read this will be ruined most days. The home is priced to reflect what it should offer, but is not worth the price with what is taken away. This isn't disclosed before booking and the management company has no control when the disruptions happen. If you already have booked this home you should discuss with them before arriving or see if you can cancel.

We have been vacationing here and creating family memories for a number of years. The view is gorgeous. The house is comfortable.
We enjoyed our walks, golf, biking and relaxing.

This is the second time we have stayed at GH 253. The first time was 4 years ago and it doesn't appear any updates have been made since then. On the plus side, this home has a wonderful location and fabulous view. On the negative side the bedding and mattresses are awful and definitely affected the week. The hand held shower head in the master bath is unacceptable, dangerous and results in a wet mess. We took turns using the other showers. As noted in another review, the home is overall poorly lit. The television is small and does not enable streaming. We don't visit BBR to watch TV, but for the occasional family gathering for a football game or movie, a modern and larger TV would be nice. Have been visiting Black Butte Ranch for 24 years and must say that this home is in need of some TLC.

This house has a fabulous deck, is nicely equipped. But it is quite dated and could use refurbishing. It is also very dark, including shades over sunlights. That is probably welcome in the heat of summer, but feels closed in for other seasons.

GH 253 was absolutely perfect for our small family getaway. So comfortable and accommodating and the location and view were exactly what we were searching for in a BBR rental. My husband and I were married 30 years ago on the tee of Big Meadow #14. To be able to look down at that tee and further into the horizon was heaven. We will definitely be back next Sept to celebrate our 31st!

This is a well maintained and appointed home with an exceptional view from the extensive decks. We were entertained by the wild turkeys on several occasions, along with visiting deer.

Fortunately, the Ranch has recently made major updates to its facilities, including the lodge pool, Glaze Meadow pool, and the Glaze Meadow golf course.

Unfortunately, many homeowners have not update their properties, even though they were built in the 1970's. GH253 is pretty well maintained, but it needs some serious updates. Plus, it needs to be better cleaned. We washed the sheets after our first night, but they did not seem to be clean.

Unfortunately needed better cleaning as previous renters put kitchen utensils and cooking items back in the drawer with food stains and particles. Had to wash virtually everything again. House needs some updating. Electrical system is old and Wifi works intermittently--Bend Broadband isn't the best

The one thing that was unclear was about garbage and recycling. It would be helpful to inform guests if recycling is possible? And how to do it?

We absolutely loved staying in this house! It is a beautiful rental home and The view is spectacular! The location is great because you’re pretty equadistant from the main entrance and Glaze Meadow Rec Center.

We had a lovely time in this welcoming home in Black Butte. Two issues we were not prepared for were that there was virtually no common cooking supplies (oil, salt, flour, sugar) and general kitchen items such as foil, Saran wrap, Tupperware, sufficient wine glasses. The internet also did not work during our stay. Other than that- great location, and cozy

We had a lovely, relaxing family getaway at this location.

Beautiful location; fabulous deck; adequate amenities; very disappointed in cleaning, especially the kitchen.

Great location, best at B.B. clean when arrived . Upstairs master bath has problems: ants, no shower (hand held wand in tub gets water everywhere ; had to use main floor shower on main floor). Looks like signs of termites in top floor bath. Toilet doesn’ Flush well. Keurig in kitchen doesn’t work.

We shared the house with another couple and there was ample room. It felt like being at a mini lodge. The fireplace was majestic and all the dry wood provided kept us toasty every night. Could use a shower in the master upstairs, but we made do. It could stand a deep cleaning, but nothing that bothered us or wasn't fixed with our own elbow grease.

We have stayed in many homes at Black Butte over the years and this one is by far our favorite! The house was spacious and clean. The outdoor living space and views were incredible. We enjoyed immensely and are planning dates for next year!

Great location. Well appointed. Beautiful view. Internet was a problem but the staff at Howells was wonderful in getting it fixed.

It was easy to make reservations . Found the house good for a weekend. A lot of steps for older people.3
